The company aims to be a national leader in trout culture by providing affordable, nutritious, disease free and hygienic trout of Himalayan origin to the customers as per their demand while maintaining socio-economic soundness. In other terms, ARTF is a sustainable solution to increasing trout demand. ARTF will produce marketable size (200gm) rainbow trout from small fingerlings by culturing them in linear type raceway tank. The culture will be made more effective and economic by regular research in feed formulation and better breed production. After 10-14 months of culture, the marketable sized trout will be processed and supplied to the customers in a frozen state. The national market for rainbow trout is highly unsaturated and demand for rainbow trout of Himalayan origin is also high in the international market such as Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and India owing to its unique flavour. Mak Vs Canadian Corn Hybrid Research Institute

“ Mak Vs. Canadian Corn Hybrid Research Institute” Summary From the case study it can be observed that Mak, a polymer scientist, was a major actor and Gravelle, head of intellectual property and technology licensing at CCHRI, played significant role in bringing the situation at this point. In addition, B3 and Stevenson were the key players lacking efficiency and made the situation worse. However, Fletcher turns out to be the fairest person during the whole events. Mak played a double role as a job seeker and an inventor but was naive about his goals. As a job seeker he never filled any application at CCHRI and as an inventor, he was naive about protecting his invention. Even after getting some clues about the patenting process, he didn’t try to learn more about it from the inventor’s perspective.  Mak didn’t assure the ownership of his invention to the B3 members and he never took initiatives in getting the patent for it. He terminated the patent application filing process ...

Patent Search on Application of Cellulases in Denim Finishing

Cellulose, the most abundant polymer in the earth crust, is a major attraction in the field of bio-innovation and cellulases are the major agent for mobilizing it as per human necessity. Cellulases have wide range of application in various industries such as textiles, bio-fuel, bioconversion, animal feed, detergent, biocontrol, brewing, food etc. Thus, cellulases research has been able to gather large amount of research and development investment. Before any Research and Development investment, patent search is essential to determine novelty, patentability, technology trends and business potential. Patent search on application of cellulases on denim finishing performed by keyword search strategy on Free Patent Online search engine revealed 38 search results. Of them most of the patents and patent applications were documented in United States Patent and Trademark Office databases, World Intellectual Property Databases, European Patent Documents. Results show that among 38 search results...
HUMAN CAPITAL IN LIFE SCIENCE FIRM VALUATION: A THEORETICAL MODEL Value of biotechnology firms relies upon the complex interplay between human capital and IP assets, where, human capital translates the market potential of IP asset to the true market value. This study aims to introduce the human capital of biotech firms into already existing valuation models in form of human resource factor (hrf). Built as an extension on available literature, a theoretical linear model consisting six parameters, viz.; breed of managers, star scientists, knowledge continuity, human resource interaction and CEO effect, was developed to estimate the human capital. The human capital determines the translational efficiency of firm’s potential to market values. In order to evaluate the relevance of the model, a pilot scale study of five biotech companies, based in Hamar and Oslo, was carried out through the use of questionnaire-based interview. Findings from interview showed that Company B has highest hrf...
